Child Support Enforcement in the State of Oregon is handled by the The Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Child Support (DCS). The DOJ utilizes the services of the county District Attorney's offices.
To initiate Child Support Enforcement procedings, you will need to provide a copy of any related court documents, including: divorce decree, amendments to child support, etc. If you have a Restraining Order against the child's parent, be sure to let the DOJ know there is a safety issue involved. They will contact the parent providing support and let them know that you have started these procedings. You can use a PO Box as a mailing address to collect your payments.
You will probably save time if you start at the local level. The advantage of starting at a local level is that you will have a personal contact with someone who can serve as your advocate as your form is processed on a State level. Your contact person will inform you about the proper procedures, have the correct forms available, and suggest ways to expedite your claim.
In the State of Oregon, go to your local county District Attorney's office and ask for the person who handles Child Support Enforcement.
You will need to fill out a form called: Application for Services. Complete the form and deliver to your County District Attorney's office, or mail to:
